Assemblies across the past few weeks have been interesting and varied. Kicking things off, Trust Vice Principal Mrs. Darbyshire, explored the importance of 'International Women's Day' and the necessity of promoting equality globally. Mr. Yale's assembly regarding the 'Elimination of Racism' was powerful, educating students on its inception, with Mrs. Brosnan concluding recent year group assemblies on 'Protected Characteristics' for students across Years 7 to 13. Within these sessions, students explored the nine characteristics, as well as understanding how to actively encourage their maintenance within school and wider life.

Over the weekend, 30 of our students headed off to Cologne, Germany, for their MFL trip. Highlights included a lesson at a local language school, visits to the Lindt Chocolate Museum and the German Sport and Olympic Museum, and sampling some delicious German food. Currywurst and Döner kebabs were definitely favourites! The city looked stunning in the Spring sunshine, and some students have already said they can't wait to go back.
