Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental activity, it is about understanding people, and how they think, feel, communicate and act.

By understanding why people behave in particular ways, we can predict, treat and even prevent certain behaviours.

We offer Psychology as part of our 16-19 study programme provision following the AQA Psychology specification. During Year 1, we study:

  • Social Influence
  • Memory
  • Attachment
  • Approaches in Psychology (including Biopsychology)
  • Psychopathology
  • Research Methods

In Year 2, we study additional content in:

  • Approaches in Psychology
  • Biopsychology
  • Research Methods

And:

  • Issues and Debates
  • Relationships
  • Schizophrenia
  • Aggression
